Dr Chintan Soni
Chintan has been practising dentistry for more than a decade now. Chintan graduated from dental school in India in 2006. During his studies, he developed a deep interest in cosmetic and implant dentistry. After practising dentistry for three years in India, he moved to Australia and served as a senior dental officer in Goondiwindi for Queensland Health until 2012. He then joined Optima Dental Care as a senior associate dentist in Gladstone, where he earned the title of “Gentle Dentist” in the local community.
Chintan joined The Smile Workx team as a principal dentist and Owner in 2018. Apart from general dentistry, he has undertaken extensive training in implants, invisible orthodontics (clear braces), anti-wrinkle injections, dermal fillers, and cosmetic smile makeovers. In his spare time, Chintan enjoys exercise, walks to watch the sunrise with his family, and learns new technology in dentistry.
Dr Stefan Farley
Originally from Ireland, Stefan moved to Australia in 2018 after earning his BDS from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne in 2013 and acquiring MFDS RCSED credentials. Currently, he's advancing his expertise with a postgraduate diploma in advanced aesthetics and restorative dentistry. Dedicated to top-tier dental care, Stefan prioritizes continuous learning to offer cutting-edge treatments.
He's passionate about fostering strong patient relationships, focusing on preventive care and creating a reassuring environment for those anxious about dental visits. A key member of our team, Stefan's commitment to excellence and patient education enhances our practice. Outside work, he enjoys surfing, fitness, exploring Australia, and live music, enriching his life and profession with diverse experiences.
Dr Brielle
Dr Brielle graduated from James Cook University, Cairns in 2021, obtaining her Bachelor of Dental Surgery. Dr Brielle has been working on the Sunshine Coast since graduating and joined The Smile Workx Team in November 2023.
Dr Brielle always knew she wanted to be a dentist from a young age. She grew up in the regional Town of Tannum Sands and completed her dental assistant training which sparked her passion to pursue dentistry further.
Dr Brielle is a kind and caring dentist who enjoys all aspects of General Dentistry, with a particular interest in “prevention as the best medicine”. With her empathetic nature, she understands the barriers that many people face when attending the Dentist.

Porcelain or composite?
There are advantages and disadvantages to both types. For example, porcelain veneers look very natural and life-like, and they’re also very durable. On the other hand, they need to be custom made off-site and can take a few weeks to be crafted, and if they chip or crack, the whole veneer may need to be replaced.
With resin veneers, any cracks or chips can easily be repaired in one dental visit. They’re much less expensive and unlike porcelain they may not need any trimming of your natural teeth. They are not typically as durable and can stain more easily.
How long does a dental veneer last?
Veneers made from porcelain will maintain their shape and appearance for many years, as it’s a wear-resistant, hard, non-porous material. That said, it’s important to bear in mind that while veneers are quite durable, they can chip easily if hit by hard objects. Our patients can expect their veneers to last between 7-15 years with regular dental visits and a good oral care routine.
